It is very important to follow the below instructions, and to contact your tattoo artist immediately with any issues or concerns. Microblading is exactly like a tattoo, it is an open wound!

Your tattoo artist (Sierra Mavis), is not responsible for any infections or problems you may have with your tattoo from this point forward. KEEP YOUR BROWS CLEAN & MOISTURIZED!

Day 1 –  Let it air/heal dry as much as possible. For the next 4 hours, every hour, after procedure you will dab your eyebrows with the cotton pads provided in the aftercare to clean up the excess blood & plasma accumulating. Before bed, you will wash very lightly with a non scented soap and pat dry. DO NOT RUB.

Day 2 – 10:  Rinse eyebrows lightly once in the morning and apply the post care ointment provided in the aftercare package, with a cotton swab at least twice a day.  Use no aggressive movement and or manipulation of the skin, DO NOT RUB just pat dry.  Wash your hands with a disinfectant soap before washing your eyebrows and or applying the post care ointment. At the end of the day, wash your brows with lukewarm water and non scented soap. Make a lather in your hands and gentle wash your brows, pat dry with a cotton pad, and reapply a thin layer of ointment. Do not rub your brows hard, pick on scabs forming or scratch the brows.

DURING THE 1st WEEK you may develop a scab or crust that will fall off, just like a tattoo. DO NOT PICK. This is normal and happens when there is blood and plasma present during the first 2-3 days. This is due to rejection of pigment by your own system. If any sign of infection occurs that does not go away within 48 hours, wash the treated area with non scented soap & apply Neosporin. Contact your artist immediately when this happens!

Before showering, apply a THIN layer of ointment to protect water contaminated your brows. When in the shower, keep your face away from the showerhead! Do not over soak or over moisturize your brows!

The following MUST be avoided NO exceptions during the first 14 days of post microblading procedure:

1. Avoid the use of cosmetics on the treated area until healed. This will prevent unwanted clogging & infection.

2. Increased sweating. It is recommended not to sweat for the first 10 days after the procedure. Sweat is salt and can prematurely fade the treated area.

3. Swimming, hot sauna, hot bath, or Jacuzzi

4. Sun tanning or salon tanning. Absolutely No Sun, sweating, or tanning prior to the procedure or after the procedure for 14 days. Do not have a tan/sunburn on your face prior to your procedure. The tan will exfoliate taking color with it as it fades.

5. DO NOT TOUCH your eyebrows other than applying the post care ointment or washing. Absolutely NO picking, peeling, or scratching of the micro pigmented area in order to avoid scarring of the area or removal of the pigment. Itching and flaking may appear during the first seven days post microblading procedure. However, experience has shown that by following these after care instructions, these symptoms may quickly disappear.

Your new semi-permanent eyebrows will go through several phases during the healing cycle. You will go through at least 3 SESSIONS for long lasting wear. Your first session will be the initial pigment procedure. You WILL need a touch up 5-6 weeks after (included in first session price). It is recommended ONE LAST touch up at 1-3 years maximum at a discounted rate. After that, you’re solid for at least 5+ years to come. Without action of these sessions, the results will be optimal.

Additional sessions/touch ups will be based on client to client bases as far as skin type, skin color, oily skin, etc.

The pigment will appear very sharp and dark immediately after the procedure. This is because the pigment is still sitting on top of your skin, and has not yet settled in completely.  The color of the pigment will soften gradually. Do not be alarmed if you see some pigment on the cotton swab, as this is excess pigment and or body fluid that is naturally existing your skin.

Once the healing of the skin starts taking place, it will look like dandruff flakes or dry skin.  This might give you the impression that the color pigment is fading too quickly, however, this is just superficial color and dry skin being naturally removed from your eyebrows.

Once completely healed, always apply a layer of sunscreen SPF 30 up to SPF 50 on your eyebrows when exposed to the sun. Sun exposure might cause the color pigment to fade away more quickly.

You can now enjoy your beautiful new microbladed eyebrows. You will simply love your new gorgeous fresh look!!
